Emily Calandrelli, a WVU and Massachusetts Institute of Technology engineer, has many impressive titles to her resume, such as Emmy-nominated TV science host for her work as a correspondent on “Bill Nye Saves the World” and as host of FOX’s “Xploration Outer Space,” author of the science chapter book series, the “Ada Lace Adventures,” professional speaker and co-executive producer/host of her own Netflix series “Emily’s Wonder Lab." Emily is a champion of promoting and encouraging STEM disciplines to multitude of audiences through a variety of platforms.

Calandrelli is a professional speaker who has given talks for clients such as Google, Pixar, MIT, Texas Instruments, the Space Foundation, CERN and many more. She's given three TEDx talks garnering over 700,000 views, and has shared her message of science and space advocacy with educators, professionals, thought leaders, K-12 classrooms, and Universities around the world.

Books

Increasing the level of scientific literacy among the general public is also something Calandrelli cares deeply about. She believes that everyone, despite their educational background, can understand scientific topics. She hopes to convince more people of this and foster a higher level of scientific literacy in society through her work. With this in mind, Calandrelli has written a number of books, including the Ada Lace Adventures series, to inspire more women and girls to pursue STEM careers and help them find the support that they need to fulfill their dreams in these fields.
